On Thursday, 17 August 2023, the Jordan Strategy Forum held a focus group meeting with several JSF members and experts, with the participation of the CEO of the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) H.E. Mr. Abdelfattah Kayed. The meeting discussed the status quo of start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises in Jordan and the extent to which a separate law is needed to regulate their work and operations in light of the Economic Modernization Vision.

The meeting comes as part of the Government's efforts to consult with the private sector to realize a more conducive environment for doing business. The Participants discussed the reasons for and challenges of  developing a draft law for MSMEs, and the practicality of applying such a Law  in Jordan compared to other countries.
