In the presence of His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, and under the patronage of His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustav of the Kingdom of Sweden and with the wide participation of the Jordanian public sector and private sector companies, in addition to representatives of Swedish companies, and representatives of companies that have business between Sweden and Jordan, the Jordanian-Swedish  Business-Summit was launched, which was organized by the Swedish Trade and Investment Council (Business Sweden) and the Embassy of Sweden in Jordan, in partnership with the Jordanian Strategy Forum and the Crown Prince Foundation.

During her opening speech, the CEO of the Jordan Strategy Forum, Nesreen Barakat, expressed her happiness with the partnership to hold the Jordanian-Swedish Business summit, as it deepens bilateral cooperation and trade exchange between the two countries, and presents various investment opportunities for both Jordanian and Swedish companies, in addition to highlighting success stories. Noting also that the visit of the King and Queen of Sweden to Jordan is a milestone in strengthening economic relations between the two kingdoms.

In this context, Barakat indicated that this visit comes at a time when Jordan is working to mobilize efforts to implement the royal visions in political, economic and administrative modernization, stressing the importance of building on the Business Summit to consolidate ways of cooperation with the State of Sweden and translating the initiatives that Jordan seeks to achieve, especially those related to attracting investments, businesses, and partnership projects between the public and private sectors, which requires the development of innovative and dynamic tools, as well as the active participation of the private sector as the main engine for growth and job creation.
