Dr. Ibrahim Saif- CEO

Dr. Ibrahim Saif is the CEO of Jordan Strategy Forum; previously, he served as the Minister of Energy & Mineral Resources from March 2015 to June 2017, and the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation from March 2013 until March 2015. Prior to his appointment as a Minister, Saif was a Senior Scholar at the Carnegie Middle East Center, and served as a consultant to the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and other international organizations. Saif was also a Former Director of the Centre for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan, and served as the Secretary General of the Economic and Social Council in Jordan. He has taught at both the University of London and Yale University, where he led courses on the economies of the Middle East.

Dr. Ghassan Omet

Head of the Research Department at the Jordan strategy Forum ,a full professor at the Department of Finance / University of Jordan where he has been since 1991. Ghassan received a BA (Economics) from Essex University. MA from University of Liverpool, and a PhD in Finance from Brunel University in 1990. During his career, Professor Omet held several posts including Dean of Economics and Dean of Academic Research. He is the author of many peer-reviewed publications and numerous conference papers. His research focuses on pricing and operational efficiency of stock markets, financing of listed and family firms, financial development, and bank performance.

Eng. Yazan Fanous

Senior Researcher of the Jordan Strategy Forum. He holds an M.Sc. in Energy Studies, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, both from the American University of Beirut (AUB). Previously, he worked as a research consultant in multidisciplinary projects with donor agencies. Mr. Fanous is also a volunteering consultant for the “Light Up a Village” project in Lebanon, implemented by the students of AUB alongside UNDP Lebanon, local municipalities and other relevant entities from the private sector. Prior to his career in Jordan, Fanous joined startup accelerators with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to develop smart communal spaces, as well as supporting education for refugees in Jordan, both revolving around innovative solutions for technological startups.

Laith Al Ajlouni,

Economic Researcher at the JSF. Laith holds MBA- Finance Degree from the University of Jordan, And BA in Accounting from the Middle East University. Laith worked in the banking sector (Arab Bank), he also worked in media as an Economic Journalist and Reporter at "AL-Ordoon AL-Yom’’ tv channel. Laith published many articles in Arabic and the international press. 

Amani Kanaan,

Head of  Communication Unit at the forum. She holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Jordan. Previously, she worked at Easyinfo as a project supervisor, in addition to her work in many institutions to manage the communication of initiatives and projects, and supervise the organization of conferences and events.

Eng. Siwar Al Kalha,

Information Officer, with a master degree in Architecture - Environmental Design from Bath University, UK. She has previously worked in engineering offices and has previous design experience. Ms. Al-Kalha works on analyzing data and developing illustrations in order to facilitate the information revealed through the research and studies of the forum.

Samah Abu Samra,

Administrative and financial Officer in the Administrative and Financial Affairs Unit and assistant of the Communication Unit. She holds a bachelor's degree in Finance and Banking from Yarmouk University. Previously, she worked as a coordinator for the diploma program at Jadra University, and has extensive experience in day-to-day management from her work in several companies.
