Individual Membership Represented by H.E Mr. Abdelelah Alkhatib, Chairman

Mr. Abdelelah Mohammad Alkhatib held several senior positions in both public and private sectors, He served as the Foreign Minister of Jordan from 1998 to 2002 and from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that he was Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, 1995- 1996, In 2012, he became the Chairman of the Independent Election Commission, while in 2010 he was appointed as the Chairman of the Economic and Social Council, Mr Alkhatib was a member of the Upper House of Parliament (The Senate) for three terms between 2010-2016, where he was elected consecutively to head the Economic and Financial, the Public Freedoms and Citizens Rights and the Arab and International Affairs Committees, Internationally, Mr Alkhatib acted as the Special Envoy to the Secretary General of the United Nations to Libya in 2011, He served as the General Manager of Jordan Cement Company, then as the Company’s Chairman of the Board. He also served as General Manager of Al Daman for Investment, He Joined the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Jordan for two terms, Mr Alkhatib is an active Contributor to the work of civil society. He was elected as the Chairman of the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature, and he is member of the Board of Trustees of both, the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, and the American Center for Oriental Research, He holds a B.A political Science, from PANTIOS, Athens, M.A in International Communications from the American University in Washington D.C., M.A in International Economics and Development from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins  University in Washington D.C.

 

Bank Al Etihad, Represented by Mrs. Nadia Al Saeed, Vice Chairman

H.E Nadia al Saeed has been the CEO of Bank al Etihad since 2008. Before that Al Saeed had a distinct career in banking, assuming different roles last of which was Head of Corporate Banking. She also led the successful launch of Bank al Etihad’s Women Market Program in 2014 under the name of “Shorouq”. Prior to that, she served as Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunication ICT and the ministry’s Secretary General from 2003-2006. She was selected as one of the Most Powerful Arab Businesswomen for 3 consecutive years (2014-2016) by Forbes Middle East. She was also awarded “Best Woman in the Corporate Sector in MENA” by The AmCham MENA Regional Council and voted as one of the most powerful women in Jordan by Jordan Business Magazine for the year 2014. Mrs. Al Saeed holds an MBA degree from the American University of Cairo, she also holds a BA degree in Business Management and Economics.

 

Umniah : Represented By Mr. Ziad Shatara, Board Member

Ziad Shatara joined Umniah Mobile Company as the Chief Executive Officer in 2015, with a remarkable professional track record and extensive international experience of more than 20 years in telecommunication field. Prior to joining Umniah, Shatara was the Chief Executive Officer of Banglalink starting 2013, while being an active member of the board of directors at Banglalink.

Shatara, who has a bachelor and master degrees in electrical and computer engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics – Hungary, held key management positions for different technology streams including IT Director and Chief Technology Officer at Wind Telecommunications.

Shatara has additional professional expertise in the fields of IT, customer service and retail operations with a solid proficiency in building, running and expanding operations in telecommunications, including cellular business, fixed lines and broadband networks integration, He started his career in information technology back in 1991 and moved to work in the telecom field afterwards, where he took over many leadership positions in international and regional telecom companies, Shatara is also a member at Intaj, Endeavor, Jordan Strategy Forum JSF and Hulool.

 

Jordan Ahli Bank Represented by Saad Al Mouasher, 

Saad is Vice Chairman of Jordan Ahli Bank, and is currently chair of the board IT & Strategy Committee, as well as the Risk & Compliance Committee. He has spent almost 16 years in banking, and has developed extensive experience in business transformation, change management, strategic lanning, entrepreneurship, technology innovation, and governance reform. Saad is also an active startup mentor, and angel investor, and was nominated to join Endeavor Venturecorps, to support the growth of high impact entrepreneurship in Jordan. Saad is also a founder and active board member in many non-profit organizations, including: The Jordan Strategy Forum (Jordan's leading private sector economic think tank), The Queen Rania Foundation which focuses on education reform, and Naua (an online social impact and philanthropy platform). In 2012, Saad chaired  Jordan's National Entrepreneurship Task Force, and helped design four programs to support Jordan's economy and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Saad earned his MBA from Stanford University, and his BA in Economics with a Leadership Certificate from Northwestern University.

 

Al Jude: Represented by Maher Kaddoura, Board Member

Maher Kaddoura is a management consultant, a serial entrepreneur, angel investor, social change maker, public speaker and adventurer:Entrepreneur& Angel Investor:Upon retirement as Accenture-Middle Eastmanaging partner, he established a number of professional services firms that became regional leaders in their relative sectors (strategy consulting, system integration and training). He invests and serves on the board of a number of companiesin the following sectors :knowledge economy, food &beverage, electro-mechanical,retail,micro finance and financial services,Social Change Maker:Maher established Al-Jude NGO in 1999 and launched a number of social programs focused on road safety, youth leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship.Maher is a visionary who believes in achieving more with less for manyusing his own theory named "The Falafel Theory", Board Member:Maher is also active in a number NGO boards including research on aging, youth development, entrepreneurship, micro-ventures, health services standards ,Thought Contributor: Maher is a public speaker and storyteller. He shares his experience and thinking on social media using Snackable format of videos, digital books, and visualposts.King Abdullah II, Sheikh Mohammad Ben Rashid of Dubai, United Nations and Ernest & Young recognized him, Adventurer & World Traveller:Maher is a street photographer, world traveler who travelled to more than 60 countries and 100 cities. He is an adventurer who trekked to Everest Base Camp, the Arctic, Alaska, the Jungles of Africa and the mountains of South America.

He established a number of high impact social programs including: Hikmat Road Safety: is a program to address Road Safety and reduce thepercentage of road death and injuries in Jordan, Playground:Built 1200 football playgrounds in public schools with a national neighborhood football championship involving 500 neighborhoods, Sherkitna: a program to plant the seeds of entrepreneurship among Jordanianstudents which now included 650 school companies,Meqdam: a program to plant the seeds of leadership in youth,Newthink:  programs designed to inspire youth to unleash their potential. It includes a theater, summer outdoor festival,and a learning institute. This initiative was awarded Arab Social Media influencers Award in 2015.“Fikrezyon” On-line TV: the first Arabic online TV focused on spreading hope and curiosity

 

ITG : Represented by Mr.Walid Tahabsem, Board Member

President & CEO, Integrated Technology Group (ITG)People working with Walid Tahabsem distinguish him by his “unrelenting focus on quality and efficiency combined with a genuine concern and commitment for all who work with him”. These attributes have been hallmarks of Walid Tahabsem’s career. Representing a true Jordanian entrepreneurship and success in the IT sector; Mr. Tahabsem is a well-rounded business leader equipped and driven to turn challenges into opportunities.

After receiving his B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Yarmouk University in Jordan, he founded Integrated Technology Group back in 1989. Today, as ITG President & CEO, Mr. Tahabsem leads one of the most successful IT companies offering quality end-to-end products and services for the education and public sectors in more than 20 countries worldwide.

Through the combination of his passion for technology and vision, he was able to grow ITG not only by size, geographic representation, and revenue, but also in technological innovation and in the application of the technology in various fields. His innovations include the development of the first Arabic artificial intelligent parser, and the creation of an Electronic Data Interchange solution, implemented in many large European institutions, in addition to one of the top education solutions; EduWave® which currently holds the largest base of countrywide deployments and users worldwide.

Over the years, Mr. Tahabsem has been an active member of a number of key national boards, councils, and associations including; Jordan’s National Agenda, Jordan’s Board of Education, Jordan University for Science and Technology (JUST) Advisory Council, German Jordan University (GJU) Advisory Council, Information Technology Association of Jordan (INT@J) Board, and Jordan’s Youth Development Program INJAZ. Mr. Tahabsem currently serves on the Prince Hamzah Bin Al Hussein School Board and Jordan’s ICT Advisory Council, and is also a board member of the Jordan Strategy Forum (JSF). He also serves on the “Endeavor” Board of Directors since 2013, recently taking over as Chairman of the Board, due to his belief in the active role Endeavor plays in enhancing the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. He is also a co-founder and a board member of the Oasis500, the region’s premier education and counsellor driven seed investment program. In addition, he is an active member of Saudi Al-Aghar Thinktank, a nonprofit and independent Think-Tank aiming to transform Saudi Arabia to a Knowledge Society.

Recently, and in recognition for his outstanding efforts and leadership in the improvement of information technology and education sector in Jordan, he was awarded by His Majesty King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein with the Order of Independence to become the first Jordanian honoured in this category. And also he has been granted honorary membership certificate in the Aal Al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought In recognition of his scientific and technical efforts.

 

 

Jordan Carponate: Represented by H.E Mr.Ayman Hatahit, Board Member

Mr. Ayman Abdel Kareem Basher Hatahit is Chairman at Jordan Exporters Association, Chairman & General Manager at Jordan Carbonate Co. and President at Jordan Chamber of Industry.

He is on the Board of Directors at The Islamic Insurance Co., Central Bank of Jordan, King Hussein Cancer Center, Tkiyet Um Ali, Amman Chamber of Commerce, Amman Chamber of Industry and Jordan Enterprise Development Corp. Mr. Hatahit was previously employed as Chairman by International Silica Industries and Chairman by Travertine Co. Ltd.

He also served on the board at The Islamic Insurance Co. and Jordan Islamic Bank.

 

 

Sanad Law:Represented by Mr.Nadim Kayyali, Board Member

Nadim Kayyali is the Regional Head of the Corporate Commercial Practice (CCPG)

in the Middle East and is a Partner based in Sanad Law Group in association with Eversheds Sutherland in Amman Jordan. Nadim has corporate transactional experience focusing on mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment and corporate finance.
